H2S AWARENESS

OVERVIEW:

Acme is one of approved training center in pakistan for IADC – International Association of Drilling Contractors. Participants will learn how to properly recognize, assess and control hazards associated with Hydrogen-Sulphide (H2S) gas. Participants will be introduced to the properties of H2S gas; health hazards associated with exposure, detection and monitoring methods, and acceptable exposure limits. This H2S Awareness program has been designed as an awareness course only. It is not intended to be used as the only source of H2S information for workers that will be, or are likely to come, in contact with H2S. We typically accomplish this educational process through H2S Training. This H2S Training Awareness Course is an H2S Safety Course designed for professionals that work regularly in areas where dangerous levels of H2S may be present. This H2S Training course helps fulfill the training requirements of ANSI Z390.1, AP Recommended Practice 49, and the OSHA General Duty clause.

Who Should Attend

Employees who work in the oil and gas industries must complete Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Gas Awareness training to prepare them for a contingency plan and Immediate Danger to Life and Health (IDLH) exposure procedures.

Assessment

A multiple-choice test is administered at the conclusion of the program. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.
Program participants who successfully complete the course are issued a certificate of completion and H2S Awareness card.

After successful completion of course, each participant should be able to:

Perform gas detection through the use of mechanical and electronic devices
Acceptable exposure limits
Signs & symptoms of H2S gas exposure
Common locations of H2S and conditions of release of the gas
Components of a contingency and rescue plan and procedures
Safe working procedures including employer and worker responsibilities
