IWCF DRILLING WELL CONTROL LEVEL 3 & 4

OVERVIEW:

Acme is one of approved center in Pakistan for IWCF Drilling Well Control Level 3 & 4. The IWCF Well Control course is a five day intensive program designed to address principles and theory of well control along with the most commonly used blowout prevention techniques. This course covers a blend of both theoretical and practical training in Well Control to ensure you walk away knowing industry best practice when it comes to blow out prevention (BOP).

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for personnel operating or supervising in Drilling / Workover operations such as:

  • Assistant drillers
  • Drillers
  • Drilling supervisor
  • Drilling superintendent
  • Tool pusher
  • Rig manager
  • Drilling contractor
  • Senior well engineer
  • Operational well engineer
  • Assessment:

    Different levels of training require different assessments and are valid for varying lengths:

    • Level 3 and 4 training consists of two assessments and a practical assessment using simulator equipment.
    • For Level 3 and 4 courses, both the learning and assessment elements must be completed at an accredited training center.
    Level 3:
    • Surface Equipment: 1 hr 10 minutes
    • Surface Principles and Procedures: 1 hr 45 minutes
    Level 4:
    • Surface Equipment: 1 hr 10 minutes
    • Surface Principles and Procedures: 2 hrs 45 minutes.
    • Upon successful completion and assessment of this IWCF Well Control course you will receive a globally recognized certificate from the International Well Control Forum (IWCF).Well Control instructors play a critical role in IWCF training – It’s time for you to experience a world class facility with trainers to match. If the candidates pass, then the certificate is valid for 2 years.

    • Candidate must have atleast 3 years Oil & Gas experiance and understand English.

      • Set up for drilling
      • Recognize a drilling break and positive kick
      • Perform the shut-in within the shortest possible time by following the appropriate procedure
      • Complete the kill sheet and kill the well using the designated procedure (Wait & Weight or Driller’s Method)
      • Bring the pump up to kill speed maintaining constant bottom hole pressure
      • Operate the remote choke and make adjustments in accordance with the time delay to maintain constant bottom hole pressure
      • Complete the well kill operation.
